Some of us were talking at the campout about minting our own Darkon Coin. I think this would another great step in developing our country personna. I don't know the details yet about pricing and whatnot, but Meriem of Elidor is supposed to hook me up with the info about the company Darkon goes through next event. This project would probably require a donation from members of the country to be feasible, however.
I think we should definitely call the coins Drachmae, the currency of Ancient Greece.
I also think that this might be a good opportunity to do a bit of a art contest! Basically anyone who wants to participate would design one or both sides of the coin, and everyone would vote for their favorite design! The prize could be an amount of the actual coin, or regular Darkon coin, or something else...maybe some scrolls or potions or a weapon or armour piece??? As well as a title of Minter or Artisan or something?
This is just a preliminary post, as I don't have all the info yet, but please leave any feedback or questions. And feel free to start designing art at any time!!!

I like the idea but I'm a sucky artist, I just write really well. But I have ideas for the coin I just need someone else to draw them. So if any decent artists out there are interested, pm me. Later.

after talking to skip, i think i may have been a bit hasty. It apparently costs quite a bit to mint coin...it would be damn cool tho!
