As Pathos walked through the dense woods, there was a scuffling in the brush before him. Undisturbed, he continued towards the noise. Suddenly a small creature leaped out from a bush to his left and latched on to the Mage's neck. Pathos stoped suddenly, as Mungkey whispered his scouting report into his masters ear. A slight smile crept across Pathos' face, as he closed his eyes and began to mutter softly to himself. Normaly a drow, living in the underdark, has many natural abilities; among them is levitation. Pathos never knew this or where the source of the power came from, until his "vacation" to see his Father in Empyrean. It was here that he learned the ability to levitate was within him, if he could find a point of focus, which he had; Tharros. Slowly and with great concentration, Pathos slowly began to lift off the ground. The first few times he had tried this, Mungkey had seen fit to freak out, in a fury of claws and teeth, subsequently breaking the Mage's concentration and dropping them both to the hard ground. Here, Mungkey had closed his eyes and repeated the Poem of Praise, which his master had taught him.
Now floating 5 meters over the tree tops, the Mage opened his eyes and ceased his chanting. Looking out over the scenery, the dimely lit forest stretched on for as far as one could see. Turning his head to Mungkey, the simian held his small arm out, pointed north. Moving quickly through the air, the Mage peers out with his lavander eyes. Seeing many signs of heat coming off of the numerous creatures inhabiting the woods, a large image stands out from the others. Pathos stopped and looked down at the yellow and red silohete of the man below him. The Mage slowly descended towards his target, and when he reached a height of 2 meters above the man he stopped. Reaching into his pouch, the mage pulled out a white stone and shouted down at the figure, "Pouch, ICESTORM!". Completely surprised the figure looked up, and in the same instance his body became completely sealed in a block of ice.
Now on the ground, Pathos looked into the face of the frozen man, and spoke, "So, your the one causing all the fuss; don't worry though, no one will miss you. I do have one question though?" And leaning up to the ice, looking directly into the eyes of his victim the mage asks "Where is YOUR god now?"
For the next ten years the renegade helot Entreri, would be forced to work the land of New Essex. He single handedly built the two towers of New Essex and New Dundalk. According to Pathos, his will was broken early, and frequently the helot was taught his place in New Sparta; on his knees. _________________ ONE OF US!
