Hail Laconia!!!
FYI for the new recruits and everybody else, basic Laconian Uniform consists of: black tunic/shirt with black breeches/pants and the Laconian red and yellow quartered sash or surcoat. Red and yellow piping and accents/capes/hoods/mantles are reccomended for unit leaders. Garouthi may wear furs and other barbarian items.
LACONIA IS MANY AND ONE! WE CELEBRATE OUR DIFFERENCES THEY ARE WHAT MAKE US GREAT! WE CHOOSE TO FIGHT TOGETHER THAT IS WHAT MAKES US STRONG!
(black sweats and a long plain black t are ok for starters but unless wearing armor the t should be upgraded to a simple tunic asap ) All Laconians are expected to wear black or brown boots or cover modern footwear with some kind of leggings.
Citizens are expected to have a tan or off-white chinton or chlamys, which is the Greek word for toga, for cerimonies and feasting. These are simple seamless rectangles of cloth tied or pinned over the left shoulder (I have bolts of material for this) worn belted over the Laconian black uniform.
We are a country, a unit, a team! RED, YELLOW and BLACK are our colors. The BLACK LION "THARROS" WHOSE NAME MEANS COURAGE IS OUR SYMBOL! BE PROUD OF THESE THINGS! WEAR YOUR COUNTRY COLORS WITH PRIDE!!! ( Rangers, Druids and other characters may wear other colors according to their class requirements and or personal characterizations)
We looked pretty damn good, if I don't say so myself, at the last event, but with just a little effort we could get our garb and unit appearence to be outstanding. Striking awe and fear into our opponents, and presenting an image of unity and country pride to the realm.
