Sing, Spartans, in praise of holy Olympus
And shoulder no more the burden of Sisyphus,
For the Fates have woven thine yet again.

Golden spires, in command of the land thereof
Embraced by fields of grain and flocks of fat sheep
Are home to the victors of the Great War.

Two victors arrive in discourse, heated be it
As two siblings would share
Words sharp as the wit of Odysseus.

"Contemptuous Ares! Have you not seen
The angry flame in in each Spartan's eye,
Their hatred that shakes the very earth?

They march, even now, through day and night
To honor Achilles in his craft, and not one foe
But two, as one battle lies from within."

"O brave Athene, thine heart grows soft for men
As soft it grew for Pallas. Or have you forgotten?
A soldier in his right shan't heed such weakness.

Now the burden of the gods only in them lain,
And even Poseidon, Lord of the Sea, can do no more
But steer the war-boats toward the war.

And Tharros, whose wards are the gods themselves,
His watchful eye now cast over these events,
Poised is he to strike at the brow of false gods."

"Go now, for I am not afraid. Appeared you before
The Lords of Sparta, a gift of sky-iron you gave,
Defeat now your selfish pride in these matters.

Giveth shall I in turn, for one man stands
His shield raised and his jaw set in resolve,
As defender of Olympus, he shall receive."

I have cowered before men before but never before the might of the armies that you are massing, the might, the strength, makes me shudder and fear heartly for your foes! Go Spartans! Brave, Bold and Conquering!

Bring glory to your houses! Bring the heads of the lowly that have chosen to defy you and cast them into the flames of Victory!

Bring Grace upon your fields and wealth to your coffers!

You are Spartans, and the world shall tremble with your might!!

Though I ...a lowly helot and cook...Would take up spear and shield and march to war proudly beside you!! Sadly my best efforts would only allow me to cook your enemies not kill them....
