Finally shedding the slaverous shackles that is EZBoard, I've created a perfectly practical paradise for your posting pleasure. There are still a few kinks to be worked out (see below), but otherwise, I'm going to try to transition people from the old message board to this one, effectively shutting down the old one sometime in April.
Before I get to the good stuff, I want to let everyone know not to post sensitive information in The War Room until I'm completely sure it's properly set up. I will let everyone know when it is available for use. DONE!
Now, some features that prompted me to switch to phpBB:
- It's free. 'Nuff said.
- No ads!
- No more wordfilters! Say whatever the fuck you want.
- Avatars! You can upload a personal avatar up to 60x60 pixels in size. I have the ability to adjust that, so if bigger avatars are in popular demand, I'll up it.
- Mods and the admin now have the ability to pin threads.
- Far greater forum customization. EZBoard's control panel interface was confusing and counterintuitive, and pretty much all of the halfway decent features were locked until you paid for them.
- Search function. Registered users now have the ability to search for old posts.
- Images! You can now include images in your posts.
