My Laconian Friends--

I have decided to accept a commission as Deputy Constable in the Royal Constabulary of Darkon, under Sir Bendore. Let me make it clear that this was not an easy decision. Laconia was the first nation to welcome me into this strange land, and I will never forget your kindness.

I have made it clear to Sir Bendore that no matter where my duties find me in battle, I do not wish to face my Laconian brothers in combat. If I find myself on the side opposing Laconia and it's allies, I will seek other targets, and will do so with a heavy heart.

I will see many of you at the various gatherings of the Realm. You are always welcome to come speak with me, and I will always embrace you as my friends. I plan on staying in touch, and will continue to check in on this forum.

Politically, I know that you do not recognize the reign of the current King. Know ye this: if the need arises, back-door diplomacy is still a form of diplomacy.

I have spoken to Bannor and others about this, and we are still on excellent terms. You have no need to be suspicious of me, although I am a realist and will not take affront if you choose to treat me in such a manner.
